2025 – 2026 Proposed Budgetary Meetings
The Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area will be holding a public meeting on Thursday March 6th, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Central Development Corporation Boardroom, William Callbeck Center, Central Bedeque to present a draft of the 2025-2026 Financial Plan. This plan will include the 2025-2026 operating and capital budgets for the upcoming Fiscal Year. Residents are welcome to attend.
The final budget for the 2025 -2026 Fiscal Year will be presented and passed by council the following week at our Annual Budgetary Meeting scheduled on Thursday March 13th, 2025.

NOTICE OF Extended NOMINATION PROCEEDINGS
PURSUANT TO SECTION 60 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, AND SUBSECTION 25(1) OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION REGULATIONS
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area that a Municipal By-Election will be held on Monday, December 16th, 2024, to elect one (1) Councilor from Ward 1 (Village of Bedeque) in the Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area for the term of office terminating on the 6th day of December 2026.
The nomination period for the council positions noted above commences on the Nomination Open Date of Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, and closes at 2:00 pm on Close of Extended Nomination Date on Friday, December 6th, 2024.
Nominations can be received at the election office: Unit 211-106 Linkletter Ave. Central Bedeque P.E.I. C0B 1G0 by the Municipal Electoral Officer or Returning Officer at the following times:
