Please be advised that Halloween Trick or Treating within the boundaries of the Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area has been postponed until Saturday November 1st, 2025 between the hours of 6:00 PM TO 8:00 PM .
This decision was made to align with our neighbouring communities who have opted to move these activities from Friday evening to Saturday evening taking into consideration the unfavorable forecasted weather conditions.
All residents within the boundaries of the Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area , namely Village of Bedeque and Central Bedeque, are asked to adhere to this new direction. Please share this notification with your neighbours and friends within the Municipality. Thank You for your cooperation.

MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT NOTICE OF NOMINATION PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT TO SECTION 60 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, AND SUBSECTION 25(1) OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION REGULATIONS
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area that a Municipal By-Election will be held on Monday, December 16th, 2024 to elect one (1) Councilor from Ward 1 (Village of Bedeque) in the Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area for the term of office terminating on the 6th day of December, 2026.
The nomination period for the council positions noted above commences on Nomination Open Date of Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 and closes at 2:00 pm on Close of Nomination Date on Friday, November 29th, 2024.
Nominations can be received at the election office: Unit 211-106 Linkletter Ave. Central Bedeque P.E.I. C0B 1G0 by the Municipal Electoral Officer or Returning Officer at the following times:
Tuesday, November 26th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM
Wednesday November 27th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM
Thursday November 28th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Friday, November 29th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The deadline for correcting elector information shall be no later than 11:59 am on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024.
