The Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area will have a Pre-Budget meeting on Thursday, March 5th. Following the pre-budget meeting, there will be an official presentation of budget held at an open meeting on Thursday, March 19th at 7:00pm in the CDC Boardroom as is mandatory by the Municipal Government Act.

This will be an open meeting and all resident of the municipality are invited to attend. The budget for 2020/ 2021 will be discussed. We encourage your input and value your attendance at this meeting. In addition to discussing the budget, the council will also be addressing a variety of issues regarding the municipality.

It is the intention of the current government to close the Rural Action Centre located in Central Bedeque. We were not informed of this closure until we seen it in the newspaper. A meeting is being held today, Wednesday, Nov 14th in Borden at 7:00pm at the Borden Legion, upper level. The Borden Town Council is calling this meeting, and Jamie Fox will be in attendance as well as, Gordon Coffin, chair of the CDC. The Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area Council will be attending this meeting.
