Bedeque and Area Budget Presentation

The Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area will have a Pre-Budget meeting on Thursday, March 7th. Following the pre-budget meeting, there will be an official presentation of budget held at an open meeting on Thursday, March 28th at 7:00pm in the CDC Boardroom as is mandatory by the Municipal Government Act.

Bedeque and Area Pre-Budget Council Meeting

The Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area will be having a pre-budget meeting on Thursday, March 7th at 7:00pm in the CDC Boardroom. This will be an open meeting and all resident of the municipality are invited to attend. The budget for 2019/ 2020 will be discussed. We encourage your input and value your attendance at this meeting. In addition to discussing the budget, the council will also be addressing a variety of issues regarding the municipality.

Upcoming Bedeque and Area Council Meeting

The next council meeting for the Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area will be Thursday, January 10h at 7:00pm at the CDC Boardroom.

• November 14, 2018

Rural Action Centre Closure Meeting.

It is the intention of the current government to close the Rural Action Centre located in Central Bedeque. We were not informed of this closure until we seen it in the newspaper. A meeting is being held today, Wednesday, Nov 14th in Borden at 7:00pm at the Borden Legion, upper level. The Borden Town Council is calling this meeting, and Jamie Fox will be in attendance as well as, Gordon Coffin, chair of the CDC. The Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area Council will be attending this meeting.

The next council meeting for the Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area will be Thursday, Dec 6th at 7:00pm at the CDC Boardroom. At this council meeting, all councillors will take an oath of office.

All council members for the Rural Municipality of Bedeque and Area have been re-elected by acclimation.

NOTICE OF NOMINATION PROCEEDINGS

Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Bedeque & Area that a Municipal Election will be held on Nov. 5th. to elect the mayor and 6 councillors for the Bedeque & Area for the term of office for four years.

The nomination period for the mayor and councillor positions commences on Oct. 10 and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 19.

Nominations shall only be received during office hours at the election office, located at 1277 Callbeck St., Bedeque, PE.

The election office hours shall be: Oct. 10, 1-4pm, Oct. 11. 6-9pm, Oct. 15, 1-4pm, Oct 19, 9 – 2 , Oct. 22, 1-4, Oct. 25, 6-9 , Oct. 29, 1-4 and Nov. 5 , 9-7pm.
